Depends on who you get. Gotta win out first of course, but it’s on a silver platter for you now with FSU dropping off. The only enemy is yourself if you let it be.
Clemson could compete with an LSU or Ohio State this year I think. Probably Stanford or Michigan State would be a good matchup too. Ole Miss is a tossup for me. The story line would be great with Chad Kelly though.
I think you’d only get beat bad by someone like TCU or Baylor. And that’s only if Clemson is down early in the game. Sometimes you’ll come out like against ND and score twice quickly and the entire feel of the game changes. You need to come out of the gate swinging hard if you make it. ND got shell shocked and it took them forever to realize that they could actually move the ball. By the time they figured it out, it was too late. Bama is an extremely physical team and I don’t see them losing the SEC, but crazy things happen in the west. Wouldn’t surprise me if any of those top three won the SEC. I wouldn’t want to play Bama though. If you make it I’d be hoping for OSU or Stanford or the SEC champ as long as it’s not Alabama. Even Florida would be a great matchup, those corners against Clemson’s receivers would be fun to watch.

I know Bama deserves respect but they just barely beat the vols who aren’t exactly good. I think bama is likely the best team in the sec but I dont feel y’all have any playoff quality teams either. Bama beats LSU.

The winner of the SEC will be in the playoffs…ESPN has too much money to lose if they aren’t. Its the sad truth.
If LSU wins out, they certainly deserve a spot in the top 4. Unlikely, but it certainly could happen. Personally I’ll be surprised if there are two undefeated teams in the playoffs.

The playoff was the worst thing to happen for the SEC. The committee is not going to be as influenced by ESPN’s agenda as the AP voters were.
Very true. I think the playoff is indeed in the best interest of college football as a whole. Takes any bias out of the long term finishes. It certainly evens the playing field for sure. This is the first year I think it’s evident to everyone that there isn’t one dominant team, but several very good teams capable of greatness. I’m looking forward to this year’s post season more than any in recent years.
