No luck

Hit the surf Friday and Saturday and the wind was a howling. Gusts were so strong it actually blew my loaded cart down the beach, which I have never experienced before. My luck has been pretty bad so far this year. All I caught on Friday was a pin fish, fished 6 hrs. Saturday fished 5 hours and managed one whiting just before heading home. I used double drop rigs with shrimp half the time and used squid the other half of the time. I chunked frozen finger mullet for reds as well ,because I couldn’t catch anything fresh, caught no reds. I used the pin fish on a shark rig for a couple of hours and had no hits on that as well and not a scratch on the bait. I also talked to two different fisherman and both of them pulled the goose egg. It was difficult keeping out the lines, but not impossible. I had sputnick weights returning to shore. I shall press on and break this run of bad luck, it can’t last forever and when it does Grace and I will be waiting. Gail thanks for the shout out, not quitting, just fishing Sir. I even tried Littledrummerboy’s “praying for fish” method and it just wasn’t enough to turn the tide. TO BE CONTINUED…

Maybe you need an anchor for that cart. Rough surf and dirty water is not a good sign.
