What’s the magic potion to keep these nasty things off of you? Was out yesterday on the Cooper and was swarmed by them everytime I stopped. Tried “Off” spray but that certainly didn’t keep them down.
Try Avon “Skin So Soft”. It’s oily as all get-out and you smell pretty terrible, but it seems to do the trick…
I know it sounds stupid but get some bounce dryer sheets and rub yourself down with one. If you don’t like that, PM stonoman. Last time I went fishing with him he had some cedar oil stuff that kept everything away. It stinks pretty bad though. I forget where he got it.

Richie nailed it. It’s Skin So Soft with no odor plus has SPF 30. Well worth $16, plus they have 2 for 1 sales periodically.
If I go out on someone’s boat, I buy the gas and leave them that day’s spray can.
Agree with Richie too. That stuff works.
Rub down with some copper tone 30 spf it works well too… Re apply it when they start nibbling cause its wearing off. I use this at work a lot and it really helps.

Repel spray with 40% DEET. Available at wally.
Repel Lemon Eucalyptus is the only thing I’ve found that works for no seeums. Downfalls, you have to re-apply often and the lemon eucalyptus odor is STRONG.
Skin So Soft and you’re done.

There is no DEET in SSS Bug Guard/ SPF30 no odor spray.
I have used dryer sheets and they seem to work but im interested in the stuff stono uses…
The Ceder oil smell nice just like a ceder tree.I bought 1 gal for $90.Keeps ticks off my dogs and fleas also.I spray it where they sleep.

Oh yea. Not sure if it is the deet or what but i know it will make mono brittle. got just a small amount on my leader the other day and it broke when i gave a very light tug.

No, but if you have an AVON lady she can get it for you or I can put you in touch with a lady that sells it. They also make a non SPF version. Active ingredient is Picaridin and it works great.
