Not a bad first day out.

Fished folly on the out going tide. 1230-1600. Action was pretty steady on blues and whiting. To our surprise we hooked up to a nice black tip. I’ve got to give a shout to my girl though. She fight this shark like a champ. Biggest shark for her. Clean and quick release and she swam off strong. It’s going to be so much easier to get her to go fishing, she’s hooked now.

Thats a good day. Nice shark Lunker.

Excellent fish there Lunker. Thanks for the report. Lets keep em coming!

Keep on castin’

Nice!

“Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”, but really, who cares?

Yeah I try not to catch sharks in the middle of the day, especially there. We had a crowd by the end of it. I always use mono leaders when fishing larger baits. This leader held out. She had a blast which is all it matters. The beach goers where fascinated by the thing to.

Trying again on Friday if anyone wants to join.

I think it will be big waves in the surf Friday, early this week the forecast didn’t look good. That’s a nice one. I almost went to folly last night but went to Sullys. It looked fishy with birds, dolphins and bait, a great sunset, mild winds, a excellent night with sub par fishing. I had one baby hit knock my glowstick off and it chewed my bait up. All other lines had barely a nibble. Should of went to folly.

Nice catch!

If she’s not scared to hold that shark on her first trip that’s a good sign. I hope she was given proper warning of what/where was safe.

Nice catch.

First, Most, Biggest

She’s handled smaller ones before. I gave her plenty of warning and instructions.
