Observe laws when photographing billfish offshore.

Bluewater Anglers…

Word to the wise…

Offshore fishing trips have been producing great numbers of tuna, dolphin and wahoo along with several billfish releases. BUT, folks are posting pictures taken with billfish out of the water.

This action is against Federal Regulation! 50CRF 635.21 (a)(1): An Atlantic highly migratory species…that is not retained must be released in a manner that will ensure maximum probability of survival, but without removing the fish from the water</font id=“red”></font id=“maroon”>.

Please do not remove the fish from the water. First, it’s against the law; second, it adds stress on the fish and lowers its chance of survival after release.

Thank you in advance for your conservation efforts!
