Off shore, yet?

Hi guys,
We have a potential client who has some good work coming up this year. We sure could use it, too. She wants to go fishing this weekend. Saturday looks like it might lay down. Do we take her out to 400 ft and look for dolphin, or do we hit the 40 or the 60 or the Banks?

Thanks,

think I would try the Bank, should be time and the weather looks good, you can always come back to the 60

KNOTHEAD

Went to the Edisto 40 & 60 yesterday. Nada at the 40. At the 60 we absolutely crushed the BSB. Unfortunately out of the 50 or so we caught there was only 3 keepers. Pretty fun day of fishin with the non-stop action tho. Other species caught - porgies, bank sea bass, and one mean eel that choked the crap out of a BSB on my double drop rig :stuck_out_tongue: Bait of choice was squid and cut bait, but I think they woulda bit a cigarette butt on a hook if ya tried it…

I think we need a bigger boat…

Thanks guys,
You all are great. I’ll update you when we decide what we’re going to do. I think we’re leaning towards the banks right now…

Went out to the far Reef. Caught a bunch of little fish, no keepers. Caught two big Spot Tails, hated to have to let them go. One was over 36"…
Heard second hand some folks went out and caught a bunch of dolphin on Sunday way out there over 100 miles off shore. I think I’ll wait a few weeks until they come in a little closer.
Here fishy fishy fishy.
