Fished one of the salt creeks off PI. Used live finger mullet on a float and fresh chunk mullet on some dropper rigs. Had one strike and steal off the live bait close to high tide. Had a 28" Red jump one of my chunk mullet baits. Gave me some good runs and had me thinking Sting Ray because it kept hugging the bottom. Pulled it up on the bank, measured it, took a pic and right back in to proliferate.
Was hoping some Jacks would show up but got dolphin twice. The dolphin were pretty active tail slapping near some oyster rakes.
Skeeters were horrible going through the woods. Worst I can recall ever seeing them.
