Good luck fishing in the future.

Should read 31 inches app 11 lbs. Bob

biggest i ever caught was in the late 80’s in Little River - 8lbs on a grub. it fed 6 adults with fish leftover

i had a friend up there that caught 2 - 12pounders from the same place. he headed and gutted them both

That Fish was caught in laguna Madre Texas. Its been all over the internet for last month or so I think it weight 12 lbs not really sure. There are a lot of Big Trout in the Low Country and with and the spawning season ahead its my Best Time to catch a 5lb + Trout.last year I had a client , Tim Sharp caught a 7lb 8/oz 27 1/2inch fish in june of last year. I think it held for the largest trout for the Trident tour. She had already released her eggs!! :smiley:

P.S. This fish was kept alive in my Live well ,weight at Tolers Cove Marina and release at the dock !!!:smiley:

i love hearing that

This one <=(avatar) was 25" and 4.5#
I’m not disputing what Hop had for weight b/c his looked really fat and ours was kinda skinny but there can seem to be a big diff in weight for a given length.
Interesting tidbit… when I first met Bob Sanders, I told him how my son caught a 25" trout, and he said, “wow, thats a 4 1/2 pounder!”…spot on.

We let ours swim as well. I just can’t kill a big girl like that… But one under 20" or so, well, I’ll keep enough (maybe 2) for dinner that night!

So…are you in eighth grade or seventh? Why are you acting like this? The man caught some nice fish and posts up weights that he read. What’s the matter with you? Why does it matter if you don’t believe him? All that matters is that he caught a couple of nice trout and wanted to share them with everyone. I, for one, appreciate the report as I’m sure do most of the other readers. There’s always one guy…

Trust me, if you knew anything about Hoppy and the quality of fish that he catches on a regular basis, you’d keep your mouth shut.

I’m willing to bet that he outfishes 98% of the guys on this site behind only a couple of the local guides maybe…

Great report Hoppy.

Does anyone remember when 23 took a beating over his 25 pound dolphin he caught?

Thanks for letting me know about this thread EF very entertaining.

Also as far as RADDADY goes I know he isnt a CF allstar but I would beileve what he says about trout and would put my money on him when it comes to trout fishing. Hell i would put money on his son catching more trout then most of the people involved in this discussion. I can vouch that they have both out fished EF and I on more then one ocassion (not that thats saying a whole lot :smiley:). One of those times was when people hadnt cought any trout for weeks and he still managed some nice trout.

Caleb is beaming:smiley:!

great fish
