From what I heard Hoke and Ward will be co-DC. And they will re-assign Brown to a non-assistant position
Co-DC’s? Demoting a man that has run your defense for 3 years? Basically slapping him in the face? Whammy would have been better off to be fired or resign. Spurrier just said, hey you suck, you can keep the title but I’m getting this guy in there too. I didn’t think Sakkerliner’s defense could be worse than this year, I’m not so sure. Too many roosters in the hen house.
Oh and Hoke got fired from the Bears because they sucked.

I believe Hoke was Spurrier’s DC at Florida. It does seem a little underhanded to wait until all the recruits were signed, but what else could he do? You can’t make everyone happy.

None of us, besides Salty, know what really happened. Maybe Ward asked for help. Maybe he was given the option to accept this change or pack sand. But resigning from a job that is paying you well (and you have no other job), would be just plan STUPID.
Co anything is stupid when you need a head decision maker. I’m not for it at Clemson on the offense and I sure as hell wouldn’t be for it on defense.
