I think it’s funny South Carolina has beaten Clemson 5 times in a row now. I’ll take that and you can keep the finishing in the top 10 and no BCS bowls. It’s why all the other conferences look up to the SEC.

Because the conference chairs that set it up were smart enough to keep some parody among the major conferences and to level the playing field. The SEC has been dominant over the last 10-15 years, no denying that but, other conferences are starting to catch up and be competitive as well. A lot of that has to do with a share of these bowl payouts being distributed among member schools. In a way it is the participation trophy scenario but is necessary to keep one or two conferences from being a complete run-away.
The playoff is going to fix a lot of this hopefully but I can just about guarantee you SEC homers you won’t be seeing 4 SEC teams in there, most likely one and maybe two on a odd year. The committee is pretty much set up to make it a national mix. Just let the mix of 4 play out for a few years, it will grow to 8 or 16 in no time, especially when they see what money comes in.

Aren’t they supposed to pick the best teams? If the best teams are SEC teams, they’ll be picked. If the best teams are (don’t laugh) ACC teams, they’ll be picked. Isn’t that what this new system is supposed to do?

You believe that if you want. The voting and polls will adjust to make it where you don’t see one conference dominate the top 4. It’s why it will grow to more teams in short order. It’ll be better than what we have now but still be problematic.

A few Clemson fans are in touch with reality. There are plenty of those that think Clemson is still a better team then the Cocks and that’s why they are in a bcs bowl and the cocks are not. It’s amazing to see the delusional thoughts that some of them have.
