People get so caught up in the rivalry that they donât realize both teams are playing some of the best if not the best football they ever have.
For a state this size to end up with 2 teams in the top 10 is phenomenal. Makes you wonder how so many other states with far bigger populations canât field even one decent team.
âApathy is the Glove in Which Evil Slips Itâs Handâ.
Both teams finish 11-2 and have done our state proud! Hatâs off to Clemson for a great season and one of the better bowl games of 2014. However, I could not believe the number of penalties called. What the heck is sideline interference and how do you get it called twice in one game? The âtauntingâ penalty against Beasley early in game was kind of ticky-tack as well as much more antics have gone on before with no flag. I honestly believe the fumbled punt was the beginning of the end for OSU. And Sammy Watkins did nothing to hurt his NFL stock. Both Boyd and Shaw showed the rest of America what we in SC have known about our respective QBâs for a long time. You can bet Braxton Miller is a sore puppy today!I am very excited about the state of college football in SC at this time. Oh, and Coastal Carolina and Charleston Southern had great years to boot.

Itâs funny that you try to justify Beasleyâs actions.
Every player in college football gets a penalty if you make the throat slash sign.
Every player.
I think it is a good penalty. That is the dumbest thing. I bet I have seen 10 of those called in the bowls.

Thatâs crazy. Canât believe the biggest win margin has been over Alabama??
Thanks for clearing that up. I did not see the throat slash gesture. I thought he did the open the chest thing. Got it and was not justifying anything, by the way. Unlike the pro game, college football broadcasts do not show repeats of the penalties over and over. I missed the throat slash.

definitely no tigger fan here but he looked like he was doing the âsupermanâ thing to me. His hands never went higher than his chest, how is that a throat slash?
âApathy is the Glove in Which Evil Slips Itâs Handâ.
not being nit-picky but superman is when the hands meet in the middle of the chest and thumbs are in. slash is when the hands cross and the thumbs are out like knives.
