Headed west from Sam’s Point this afternoon about an hour before low. All we had live was mud minnows and of course my daughter had to be the one to pull in a slot flounder. There’s a couple of rays swimming around with hooks in their mouths thanks to me though. Pretty slow otherwise while watching the storm cells work in around around us.
Good for you making a safe trip down. I am off next week and if all works out I plan to get down the first part of week.
Will hit you up. PM me a phone # if you wish. I have not fished that side much but we can go in my boat and see what we can do if you want.
Enjoy your stay!

I did manage to cast net about 70 large shrimp tonight just throwing off the dock so my day wasn’t a total loss. And there were a dozen crab and two stone crabs in the pots when we got back too so supper was taken of with some good lowcountry fare!
Welcome back to the Lowcountry, Dad!
Thanks Jim! Looking at whitecaps and brown water this AM so I think the ole fairweather jonboat is gonna stay tied to dock for a couple of hours.
Good luck to ya!
