Picking Optimal Dive Conditions

Hey guys, I wanted to get some advice from divers in Charleston who have a lot more offshore diving experience then I have. I was wondering from reading posts about how to pick the “right time” to dive where visibility will be the best and currents are not bad. I assume the best times to dive would be on slack tides in between tidal cycles but how do I determine this when I’m somewhere offshore and most tidal tables are for inshore? Thanks ahead of time for the advice.

Anywhere past 50’right now is great. We are experiencing the best diving conditions in years. Viz is 80ft +, 72 top top bottom and no current. Tides have little effect on our dives if you don’t dive the New or Full moon tides! Viz will get a little worse around the end of low tide but little affect out past 80’. Good Luck.

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

If Bug says it…its the gospel!
