Pii St 8-18

So I took an out of towner, Grayson, fishing yesterday at Pitt Street. We got two dozen MM and headed to the pier. We were both fish 1 oz sinker carolina rigs with MM. First cast Grayson got a slam on a nice red, He got it about 10 feet away from him when the fish went round the pylon and broke the line.

We saw about 8 different sheepshead. All were slot or over but we had no fiddlers. We resorted to be trying to catch them with my net and Grayson supporting me but when came up empty handed but we had a great time. Saw a TON of fish and next time I know I’m bringing a cast net and some fiddlers.

I’m so salt life I get land sick.

there’s no slot for sheeps, only a 14" minimum…I bet y’all were like monkeys and footballs trying to catch sheep with a dip net…

next time you see the sheeps just pick you an oyster off the piling or off the bank. Crack it open and put it on your hook. Oysters work just as good as fiddlers plus they are free!
