Please help with planning

I’m heading down from NC in October and will have 5 days of spring tides. I hope to get a few shots at reds in the grass with artificials on the flood. This is a rare trip for me.

  1. I may get a guide for one day. What guides on Edisto run a flats boat and are expert at this kind of fishing? Since fish seem to be scarce at Edisto this year, maybe I should drive to a different area for the guided trip. Can you recommend such a guide in the Beaufort area or maybe up toward SW Charleston?

  2. I will be doing some DIY fishing around Edisto. I’d be grateful if someone could PM me the location of one or two good high-tide flats that can be reached on foot or easily by kayak–Scott Creek marsh or near one of the bridges or landings on the main island. I promise not to kill any redfish or come back often. Thanks.

If the tides are right and weather is decent, I’ll try to go. You’re welcome to come with me one afternoon, but I fish Charleston/Mt Pleasant areas only.
