Pompano ?

Bro in law was down at our hiuse last week and said he saw one guy catching pompano in surf at IOP

Wife and i are coming down this weekend and debating on whether to drag boat or not

If you have a place to leave it, always glad to have a boat. If the weather is great, you can get a boat ride and a great fishing expedition. If not, you can always surf fish. Really depends on if your trailer is in good shape and no issues with towing the boat except extra gas, and on how much you like a boat ride.

Thanks, I trailer boat all the time to IOP and all around the upstate and even to FL just looking at whether I want to fool with it for a weekend with gas prices so freaking high

Just got me to thinking if they are actually catching some pompano I might forgo bringing the boat this weekend

Just caught one today at Folly on frozen shrimp. Didn’t know about the spines. Now I know.
