Hey Guys,
So I took the family to Beaufort for the wkend. Specifically the Cheechesse river area. Mostly for a little needed time off and relaxation. However my 10yd old fishing freak son
Insisted we took some fishing gear. He did pretty good from the friends dock with some trash fish a couple trout and crabs, but we tried to hook up on some spanish in the sound off Bay Point.
NO TAKERS!!! Lots of bait! Lots of diving birds! Trolled spoons, small plugs etc.
we saw a few boats trolling and a few anchored (assumed they were bsb fishing).
Can anybody tell me what I was doing wrong/right or any info would be appreciated!!!
Also saw a few boats anchored fishing live bait inland of bay point on both sides of the sound. What would their target be?
Got ran out of sound by a storm around noon today. So went to skull creek for lunch. Upon docking we saw a pretty good waterspout that looked to be over Makays creek. Anybody else see it?
