No not a fish…turkey season opened here this morning. Right at sunrise I’m walking out with a 23#, 9.5" bearded tom that had 22mm spurs.
…now back to the regular programming

Never heard of measuring spurs in mm’s, I’m gonna start holy hell on this website with all the not so locals by measuring my fish in mm’s.

Just lost my stepmother last week from a long battle with Alzheimer’s/Demetia but one of the first things my Dad asked me later on that night was if it would be OK for him to come with us this fall:sunglasses:
So I’m really looking forward to this trip. Dad basically grew up on river fishing as a kid (between that and hunting was probably a lot of the food on their table) so getting him on some salt marsh fishing is going to be fun!!!

Oyster-it may be late for SC but up here in Indiana the season just opened Wed 4/23…heck we still had some snow blowing around not much more than a week ago!

For some reason when you check in birds up here the spurs are measured in metric but the beards are measured in English…something I’ve never figured out? At least the NWTF scores everything in English-just plugged mine into the NWTF calculator and came up with a score of 310.
