Hit the beach around 8am to 1pm. Caught about 20 nice 13 plus inch whiting. Had the usual 2 shark rods out also. Got a hit on the mullet head took a 10 second run before i noticed. Tightened the drag and instantly broke off. It was on my lighter rod with no shock leader. It just had a 8ft steel and heavy mono leader. Must of got wrapped around the shark when i wasnt paying attention or it was larger then 7ft and rubbed against its tail. I didnt lose any line on this one. I just added a 10ft shock leader to that reel just now. Going back out tommorow with 3 shark rods and im nkt leaving untill i have a shark on the beach.
