Good work Dave and to all concerned with this project. I am in. However, I won’t use a credit card. We could make donations Wed. night at our meeting.
Thanks for doing this. I’ll be glad to help out. I’ve been very sad about the trout kill–just when we were getting some fatties from the warm winters.
You may have already thought of this, but if you call around, a TV or radio station may even give you a free 30-second ad slot as a public service message for this since it’s an important local issue.

Thank you again for all your kind words and generosity. I’ll ask about the PayPal option.
I’m also going to see about making some sort of thermometer gauge so we can track our progress against our goal. On our eyestrikefishing online store I’m going to make an option to donate, and also we are going to make a special projectrespeck pack of TroutEyes with high-end unique eyes that will only be available via donation.
Thanks and everyone have a great week

Optiker, there have been over 1,500 views, and the replies stopped at 22. Is signicant money coming in?
We are supposed to get training on how to log in to check progress because I’d like to know also. Should have an idea next week I think.

I’ve seen lots of websites have a “round up to the nearest dollar” thing at checkout…I’m sure that would add up quickly.
Otherwise, thanks for this, I see it blossoming and you guys leading a charge to do lots of good things for our resource…

Even though I did not eliminate one trout from the local population last year (didn’t fish inshore once), I am in. I want our fishery to be healthy for the next generation.

Dave,
I was looking at the CPR page to make a contribution and the Project Respeck didn’t come up in the pull down list.

Oops. I looked a little closer.
I assume that we should select the Waddell Mariculture Center Fund.
No please select the fund that is already populated when you go to ProjectRespeck.com. It is called the Community and Professional Response Initiative (CPR) It’s the umbrella fund that is currently being directed to Project Respeck. Sorry for the confusion!

Will do. Thanks for clearing that up.
I think that I’m just easily confused.
Just sent my $25 in
I put in a donation last night. I am happy to be a part of something like this.
There was a little discussion earlier on the status of meeting the $25K goal. Any idea on how much has been raised so far or getting a tracker established where we can watch it on line?
Will send donation, but my (lack of) trout-catching ability by itself is a MUCH more significant contribution to helping sustain our fishery. Just sayin’…

Oh yeah, and Op:
You’d (at least) double the contributions if you were to auction a trip with Mr. Ralph and/or yourself. Fact.

We were awaiting orientation on how to log in to check out the progress of donations. We just got instructions and I just checked.
As of this morning we are at $4,415 - about 18% of our goal. So, we have a long way to go as of yet. We have received some in-kind donations from some businesses, and we have been approached by a fishing club about using the fund as a charitable contribution for their big tournament, as well as collections during the year, etc.
Eye Strike is close to announcing a unique trout eye jig 3-pack that has really cool high-end eyes and special packaging that will only be available by donation on our store. 100% of the proceeds will go to the fund. I will announce it when we are ready to go, probably next week.
I think if we continue to spread the word, and encourage local fishermen and organizations to contribute to the fund that it will gain momentum. I feel like we are just getting started.
Thanks again to all who contributed so far! - Dave

Just contributed.
Dave, have y’all thought about doing t-shirts or visors with the ReSpeck logo? I’d buy multiples of each if that were an option. Regardless, thanks again for what you’re doing.

Black Bart, we were approached by Vapor Apparel about doing some shirts and we are discussing it. I agree I would wear one proudly myself! Thanks

I think anyone that fishes and has read this thread and has not contributed at least the cost of a 6 pack is a dingleberry.
