How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
Nice work

Really old trailer from my Henry O and the 17’ Stingray before it is turning into a utility trailer. About 1/2 done. Just fartin’ around with a little Northern Tool stick welder. Bunks removed. A few areas of the main frame tidied up. Added flats across the original cross members little vertical struts. Started adding sides. May need to gusset the underside of the front corners to stiffen them up. And, will probably add 2 more cross members to shore up the deck.

That’s the one I’ve been looking for since yesterday, lol.

Oh my back…

Rough sawn pine, barn curred, about 4 years old.

12-14 inch boards ripped into 3 and a half inch strips (average) and I needed 78 battons to do the backside of the barn.

So here’s the quiz for today, how much Cabot Australian Timber Oil did it take to stain all 4 sides on this pile? There’s 84 sticks in that pile.

Pencils up…

What are 3 gallons, Alex?

4.5 gallons.

getting close, another coat of timber oil and we’ll call it done. Hard stuffs over

Back to the Fireplace/Brick Oven Thingy… …

That looks really good, I want to do something similar at the hunting property.

Did I see you on a commercial yesterday for New Wire Marine?

Home maintenance, it’ll all need replaced next summer. This should suffice till then.

11 years in the weather uncovered, probably about average

I am in the process of redoing and expanding an existing deck. Going to bite the bullet and go with Trex composite and cable railing. It will be my last deck.

Making forms for concrete countertops, almost time to set them.

Rock work getting close, anybody got a couple aspirin?

Not many could take on a project like that
I was thinking of doing something similar to yours but smaller
Don’t think I can handle it
My boys said they would help if it had anything to do with pipes or welding.haha

@sman

This project has taken way more time, effort, and money than I ever anticipated when I first started scratching this particular itch. I’m not sure if I knew then what I know now if I’d have undertaken it. When its done it’ll be pretty nice, so maybe looking back on it then I’ll think different, but for right now it’s getting into my fishing time something awful.

Thanks for noticing

I’m waiting for you to finish this job and then offer to come build one for me at cost.

Finished

This one kicked my arse, no more projects till 2026

Really…

I’m going fishing. Happy Fall to all
