Tail light breather finally come in…
Crazy money on these lights. The strip lights (blinker and brake) on the bag are $199. The tail light $325 unbelievable.
But there’s dumbasses out there that pay it.
Get rid of the ugly factory breather.
Project number 2 pull transmission.
Going to carry it to the mechanic and let him go through it.

Get the wiring unscrewed and see if I can get a fired up. Wiring definitely not much strong suit.

I can’t can’t find any paint stripper worth a crap it don’t even burn you when it gets on your hands. Apply then wrap it in plastic.

Price a vinyl wrap for that trailer?
I’ve never had a lot of luck with paint stripper… or is it striper? Glad we don’t have the spell check idiots around here anymore.

I added some brake fluid to it. And wrapped it in plastic and left it overnight.
Was thinking about leaving it like that and putting clear coat on it.But

Sunday I went to Napa. Told the counter guy I needed 4 ft of 3/8 oil line / fuel line. Need two feet of 5/16 fuel line.
He comes back rings it up.$63 WTF!!
Never mind I walk out go to AutoZone.
Same thing the guy comes back to the counter 62 bucks.
I can buy braided line with the fittings for $10 a foot online

That hose should have cost ya about $8 bucks… Welcome to inflation my friend. If you can wait, get on line and order a 25’ / 50’ role off of Amazon. Much cheaper but still higher than it used to be. I could get a roll of 3/4 silcone heater hose for about $80 bucks, it is now $140ish.
Just bought a fifth wheel that was ranging from dealers $800-900 in November… Cheapest I found yesterday was $1600. Everything is skyrocketing. My only blue sky to this thing is I’m still hoping in a year or so toys will be flooding the market and I can pick up a boat a little cheaper than they are now. Then Gas prices will be so high, I’ll not want to spend the money. Biden already telling America that if Russia invades Gas prices will spike… Like they are not already… $110 bucks to fill my truck yesterday and that was low test.
Oldboy in front of me had a set of these and it rung up $10.99. he told the cashier it should be a lot more than that. She said that’s what it rings up. Not my job to question it. I hauled azz over and grab me a set. There was one left on the rack. I grabbed it.

I was told Lowes and Ace were taking on the Craftsman line if you need warranty replacement after Sears took a dive.
I got to hang around the office all week. Couple conference calls pre-construction meetings.
To boil it down 4 or 5 hours of work. And the rest of the time I got paid to play with my stuff.
Got this 78 up and running . She’s probably not cranked in 15. Rebuild the brakes & a couple other minor things tags and will be on the road.
Going to see how a $60 carburetor compares to a $500 carburetor.

I’ll put a nickel on things being a lot worse in another year. I’m still thinking we’ll find “toys” / “niceties” on the market at much lower prices in a little bit.
This fall if things don’t change… Diesel @ > $5.50 and gas > $5.00. just speculation on my part.

It appears to have been recently rebuilt.
With hardly any time on it. It has 50 over Pistons. Bike sounds bada$$. one heck of a lope to it.

Went to AutoZone so I wouldn’t have to use my expensive oil.
Got weak in the knees when they rang it up.$43 That’s about what my good oil cost
Got the transmission back in it. Squirted a little gas in the carburetor and she fired.
Tomorrow get the exhaust put back on and everything tightened up.Hopefully take her for a little ride. No brakes waiting on master cylinder rebuild kits.

I got turned on to a new app.
It’s called drag racer.
It gives you your time for your zero to 10 - 20 - 30 - 40 - 50-60-70.
It don’t give you the time but it gives you your speed for the 16th the 8th and the quarter mile.
The best I’ve been able to do with the street glide so far is 101 in the 8th mile.
If I remember right back in the day my best time on the shovelhead was just under 7 seconds and 107 miles an hour.
