Got about 1/2" crack in one blade of a SS outboard prop. Does it need repairing and if so, where in Beaufort area can someone repair it?
Check out Soderblooms.com Their service and work are nothing short of amazing. My SS cupped prop ( over 500.00 new) has twice been sent for repair. It comes back polished to a mirror finish and restored to factory specs for a very reasonable price. The turnaround time is very fast. I have referred others and have received the same ■■■■■■■■ from them. You won’t be disappointed.
Wishing all of you tight lines and screaming drags.

I can’t say anything good or bad about the above posts, but I can attest to Skip’s Prop shop at the corner of Cross County Rd. and North American St. John’s a prop magician.
843-552-4000 He does excellent custom work for go fast boats. He used to carry a bunch of used/reconditioned props. He’s also replaced a couple of hubs for me and rebuilt a skeg.
If Danny Deloach (near shell point) is still doing boat repairs he used to carry his there and may save you a trip??

I’ve busted many a props, and never used anyone but Champion Machine in Savannah. They can handle anything from a container ship to a shrimp trawler to a racing outboard.

Went to Skips since it was closer. Sure a lot cheaper than new prop. The repair looks good …hope it works well.
