Prop Repair

Looking close to Bluffton to have 2 spun props repaired and can’t seem to find anyone. The shop in Savannah on President St is apparently out of business. Any suggestions?

had 2 repaired last month. you will have to go to charleston, jacksonville, or towards augusta.

I bent a prop a couple years ago I asked around and found a shop in Augusta - don’t remember the name. When I called and asked how they repair props -vs- factory specs they said they basically put it on the bench jig and beat on it w/ a hammer 'til it’s right.

I ended up using http://www.propmd.com/.

They’re in Minnesota. Their customer service was great. I’d recommend them. They fixed it and repainted it 'til it was like new.

When they did my job they were in the process of moving their shop. When I got my prop back and looked at the three blades against a straight edge, I thought one looked just slightly off compared to the edge. Just barely perceivable. I called them to ask about tolerances etc. and they said it was possible that they slipped up on QA due to their move. They emailed me a shipping label and I sent it right back to them and they took care of it pronto w/ no additional charge.

Overall great experience. I’d use them again.

He is out-of-state and you will have to ship.

Thanks gentlemen for the info.
