Public Internet Access On Edisto

Gonna be down to fish the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of Oct. We have 2 houses rented, but neither has internet access. Does anyone know of a restaurant or cafe that has public internet access? I’d like to bring a laptop and be able to keep up with the weather, reefcast, tides…etc…

I’m not aware of any… not to say one doesn’t exist, but i really doubt it. one of the things that makes edisto great.

I think the Sea Cow does,… just ride up and down Palmetto Blvd until you find a signal

Thanks, will do that . Knothead, you striper fish murray at all?..seem to recall talking on the radio one night last year to someone wih that call name.

I fish Lake Murray very little, I, occasionally bring the boat back to Lexington, I did fish Lake Murray a little last year. Caught a few strippers. Probably not me, was not out there after dark.

The library on the island has net-ccess, but they hold very unusual hours.

Whayles has free wifi and decent food and mcconkeys has wifi as well but the food is hit & miss

Wyndam has unsecured wifi also

if you have a wireless card through verizon, it will work. cell coverages seems to have gotten better.

I can confirm that Whaleys has free wifi. I used it on Saturday evening with my iPhone while having dinner and a few beers.

Just trying to learn every bit I can about saltwater fishing…

Posting on a message board all the time doesn’t make you smart. Frankly, it just means you probably need to get a life.
