come on y’all…there is a reason this is the longest running thread on CF…get your butt in gear and man up…
What to Bring to the “Weigh-In”?or “Length-In”?or even “spot counting?”
This year we have added a sheepshead in memory of our friend Russ Broward, along with the regular redfish, trout and flounder. You can bring
all four to the “weigh-in” and here is how you win. The biggest sheepshead (weight), most spots on a redfish and length on the trout and flounder.
Ties will be broken by largest teeth on the sheepshead, size of spots on the redfish and weight for the trout and flounder. If we can’t get a winner
with those rules, we’ll try wrestling a manatee or something.
Fishing Times & Boundaries
This is a one day tournament and the fishing starts at 12:01am. You can fish as long as you want to but you must be at the weigh-in by 4:00pm.
Tournament Boundaries are inshore or nearshore from the Edisto River to the Santee River. How far you go is up to you but don’t be late!
Reckoning Time
The “weigh-in” will be at 4pm on Saturday, October 12th at the new floating dock at Shem Creek Park in Mt. Pleasant. Come by boat or by land.
All weighed-in fish must be caught during the Tournament Hours. Some of us will probably make our way back to SCB&G afterwards to wind down.

“you win some, you lose some…but nothing beats getting some!”
I’m gonna have to let SC2079BS chime in on that one…I know he had to submit t-shirt numbers in order to meet the deadline…

Sheepshead, added in memory of Top2Bottom, Tom Benton at 6 1/2 pounds
Trout and flatfish went to Randy Robbins. I think the trout was 21 1/2 and the flounder around 20 1/2". Someone can correct me since I lost the scrap of paper it was written on.
Redfish went to Nigel Goeway with a 2 SPOT redfish…jeez, who would have thought that would win it.
Brandon Riley’s son brought a sheepshead and flounder to the weigh in and walked away with a rod and reel.
Taylor picked up a 4-spot redfish on the flats and got the $50 gift certificate, donated in memory of Stan Arnold, by Scott over at Haddrells West Ashley.
I just got back home but will have some pictures put up in the next day or so.
Thanks to everyone that helped, sponsored and fished…without you it would have been just another Saturday and not 4 days spent in some of the nicest weather and with some of the best friends.
