after yesterdays disappointment out on folly i thought i would hit a walk/wade spot downtown where i usually fish for sheeps, real quick before my afternoon of work as i had some errands to run downtown anyway. did my errands real quick and got set up. the water was higher to start than i like but was falling quick. fished my go to flounder artificial the chartruese gulp swimming mullet just pitching around the rocks and pilings. about 20mins in boom a 19" flattie inhales it. get him wrangled up the rocks and into the cooler and get back down to it. next cast between some pilings, and thump set the hook hard because felt like an aggressive strike and after a good fight i manage to pull a 22" red out of the pilings. it was touch and go for a second. flip him back in. 5min later i get hung up weirdly. im twitching my rod tip trying to jiggle it loose from the rocks or whatever and it comes off only to start swimming away? strange but pull that 16" flounder in and manage to drop him in the rocks where he slips away beyond my sight and reach. what a waste but i guess wharf rats gotta eat too. spend another 10mins or so and loose a couple jigs then it was time to head home to do some work. productive quick outing.
Where is this walk/wade spot, if you don’t mind sharing? I’ve been looking for a good one.

well i wouldnt call it a secret but i dont think i will put it out on the interwebs, but suffice to say that any accessible area on the E side of the peninsula can and does hold fish on the right tide/season… on the other side brittlebank park has produced some quality fish off that oyster rake over the years as well
