Made it down to the island today to pick up my wailer that has been there since memoral day and havent been able to retreve since my heart surgery. Man, I couldnt beleve the standing water, glad i drove my 4x4.Im sure I wiil have to change the old gas and filters, and chsrge the battery before I try to crank it. Also the trim was stuck and after beatin on it with a hammer I finly got it to work.I hope my health holds up this spring and summer so I can bring my boats back and use them! I hope I can salvage the 200 pluss gal in my Bertram that hasent been cranked since May! Use stabil but dont know!
Did you have ethanol gas in the Bertram? If not, I would not be scared to run it. If it is ethanol gas, get some extra fuel filters. Run it a little then pull the filters and look for water. When the ethanol separation happens, it absorbs the water and falls to the bottom. Your pick-up in the tank draws from the bottom, so the worst will be there.
If you need any help there, I will have all my tools moved to the Edisto in 2 more weeks. Shoot me a pm and I will give you my cell if you want a hand.

Thanks Matt, I pulled the Bertram to my home in the upstate last fall! When I had a new tank built 3 Years ago I installed a drain in the bottom end next to transon drain plug so I could drain it into the bildge and out the plug into a 5 gal bucket. It origonaly had a fiberglass tank and the ethonol runed it.also had to rebuild the injectors!
