The way the unc fans are acting you would think they haven’t beaten Duke in a few years. I remember when the fans would treat it as business as usual. Now they storm the court. Congrats though on the win, might be the one they needed to get into the NCAA tournament instead of the NIT.

Thank you God for this great win over the evil that is the half man half rat. Tarheels have now won 10 in a row …and they’re ranked 19th. No worries about getting into the NCAA even without a Duke win. This team has now beaten all 4 of the top 4 preseason teams and that’s never been done before. The NIT is reserved for substandard basketball teams like USC and that’s if they have a good year. Duke is formidable every year because the rat, though hideous in appearance, is a good coach and gets credit for it.
Rushing the court doesn’t really bother me because Dook had won 7 of the last 9 meetings up to this point. We were overdue to beat those geeks - it’s ok to celebrate.

One year after beating Michigan State in the NCAA national championship, the 5th NCAA national championship in basketball for UNC…yep, we were down a year later in talent because we lost a lot to the pros and had to slum it. It happens, but the fact is, the NIT is the rare exception for UNC. It’s the GOAL for the Gamecocks.

Hey Quagmire…Giggety…OK…I’ll bite. All I will say until this thing plays out…I sat right beside one of the best players at USC during my 4 year term at the chicken coop. He came in to class, got his name on the roll and left every single time. Made A’s in the class because I asked him. Yeah, sure… Most of the class struggled to get B’s. Things go on behind the scenes with athletes I believe - the difference is…not all schools have nerd blabber mouths or care as much about their academic reputation.
But yeah…we could do without that spotlight right now no doubt.

Why are you talking about the Gamecocks? I’ve been on the Duke bandwagon since I taught Johnny Dawkins how to shoot a jump shot in the mid 80’s.

Hey Fritz - I have no good answer to that to be honest. If you taught Johnny Dawkins to shoot a basketball, then you did a great job.

Woody Danzler sat next to me in 3 classes and he got all the tests before hand. I benefited from it as well.
But least it was a real class and he had to attend.
