That wasn’t Boatpoor … that was Shipwreck …

MSC TX on Saturday …

More than a few boats went in there late in search of fish, but the word was that they didn’t find any …

… it’s my Wife’s fault we HAVE to fish !!!

Yep. We were one of those late arriving boats that didn’t find anything in there but more shorts, gar, and catfish. We spent the morning drifting big water down the lake for 18-22 inch fish. Around 12:30, Colby showed us Murrymaker’s Facebook Live post and we figured out we needed to do something different. However, the bite was off when we got to Crystal hence our lackluster 13th place finish. So much for social media fishing!

I heard that video went through the fleet pretty quick on a tough day on the lake…lol…

I run the 80lb iPilot on my 198 Carolina Skiff. I hit that anchor button 8ft from the jetties in Charleston. Keeps me put. I couldn’t be more impressed! 80lb should be plenty for the lake. If it can handle the swells and tides @ the jetties, I can’t imagine it will struggle in a lake.
