Snagged this flounder in the lake on Lockwood across from the Marina. Had never seen a flounder this small. My lure is about 5" to give you an idea how big the flounder is. I’ve had a rough fishing season so far and after this, I figured it can’t get any worse. Released him successfuly
I catch some the size of a quarter in my cast net sometimes. Cool to see them so tiny. Little babies.

You can find even smaller ones in the sandy creeks in Summerville. There’s a freshwater flatfish (hogchoker) that superficially looks identical to a flounder, except about the size of a nickel.
