Red bite is on w/ pics

Had an awesome day with the reds yesterday. Went out with my Dad and my 3 year old son down to Edisto. We caught 19 reds and had 5 breakoffs. Only 3 fish in the slot which we kept for dinner. The rest were hogs. Biggest fish was 36 inches. The bait of the day was cut mullet and mud minnows. I had one fish pull the rod clear out of the boat and in the river. I quickly grabbed another rod and try to snag the lost rod under the water. I actually hooked the rod and brought it back to the boat. I grabbed that rod and still was able to reel in the 31 inch red that pulled the rod out of the boat! Best day of red fishing I have had by far. My son was also able to fight one of the big reds with a little help. Can’t wait to do it again.

Working on getting some more pics uploaded.

Great job - enjoyed your pics - I am sure your son is hooked -

You gotta love the South Carolina Lowcountry.

We all are hooked. Too bad it takes over 2 hours to get there.

My Biggest worry is that when I’m dead and gone, my wife will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

Cool especially with your son. How deep, looked like you were in a channel?

Yes fishing a channel about 12 feet or so.
