Yesterday I managed to net up a 38" red off the end of the Folly Pier. The weather was terrible?windy?choppy. I was shocked to catch it and am wondering if it was a fluke or if they begin moving out in the surf again at this time of the year. I have been told that it is really just Sept-Nov. when you can catch them in the surf. Is that incorrect? Anyone else catching them?
What time where you there. I was there all morning.
I’ve had good days for reds in the surf from March through December. Depends on the day, the beach structure, and the fish.

I was out there from 3-5pm. Red was pulled around 4
As the water warms the bigger Reds will move back in. And it’s warming up pretty quickly. Ocean Surf Shop reports ocean temp 57 today, at Folly. Should be a good weekend in the surf.
