redfish bite

We’ve been killing it lately with redfish using mudminnows on carolina rigs, but we can’t get them to touch ANYTHING when we wade that flats on a flood tide. They were very obliging early in the summer. Lately, I have been counting 10-20 tailers every time out, but have not been able to get a bite in 3 trips. I’m more likely to snag one! We have put everything in front of them- grey and white mantis gulp shrimp, bucktails, swimbaits, chartreuse jerk baits. Then I even resorted to dead finger mullet rigged on a worm hook. The fish fish are everywhere could care less about our baits in front of their noses.

Any suggestions?

Yep, their belles are full of Fiddler Crabs with these big tides of late.

Well, took my 5 year old back out yesterday at the 2pm flood tide to try it one more time. Used the same lures as always, and they slammed 'em this time. My boy even got his first one all by himself (saw the fish, casted in the right place, and got the fight of his life with a 27 incher).
We appreciate the tips from everyone!
