So as most of you know it can be quite hard to catch a Redfish from the surf. Now I am trying to look for small, uncrowded piers that are near a grassline/marsh as I feel this will produce more fish. I would mainly be casting artificial’s with the occasional live bait( I like places where you can cast net your own bait). I appreciate all help in advance, thank’s!

pitt street bridge mt p? Folly has a dock on the river side, first dock on left on the last bridge. DI pier is like that, although it has always had people on it when i passed it by boat.

i would look for places others or very few ppl are willing to fish.
roadside creeks, beside bridges, paths to nowhere. I wouldnt use a castnet where im fishing for reds either
Stuckonland, aim your casting along the grasslines for reds usually. The most reds I’ve ever caught is at Pitt Street with either a carolina rig or a popping cork with live mud minnows or shrimp. They work amazing.
Although, if you’re more into using artificial baits then use a jighead. When fishin for reds with a jighead I throw on there either a Zman houdini shrimp or some variation of salt water assassin shad looking minnows because those have tails that make them look like they’re swimming. I also got a new lure today from Charleston Angler called a Chatterbait and apparently it’s supposed to put the smackdown on reds and trout.

ok then. I live 3 mins from there. Do you know where Old Village is? It’s in therre. Noe for the directions. Depending on what way you’re coming from you’re going to be going down Coleman Blvd until you almost get to the drawbridge to Sullivan’s Island. Before that you’ll see a Santi’s Mexican place on the right, turn right there. Now, you’ll then be on Center Street. Go really far down Center Street until you hit Pitt Street. Just got slow and look at the signs.
Once you hit Pitt Street you’re gonna wanna take a left and go all the way down to the end. You’ll go through and open gate and some speed bumps. After that, find a place to park on the right side and walk out to the pier!
I hope I helped.
