Reels Stolen! $1,500.00 reward!!!!

I am offering a $1500.00 Reward for information leading to the arrest of the culprits that stole my rods and reels. They were stolen from the Bristol Marina sometime Friday night 6/14/13. there were 4-Blue Avet Pro EXW 30/2 2 spd reels and 2-Blue Avet HX5/2 2 spd reels all were mounted on Shimano rods with blue line. These reels are pretty unique and not a lot of people have them. Hopefully the idiot who stole them will sport them rideing around. Any information you can give will be helpful. you may remain anonymous. Please contact me by email or contact the City of Charleston Police Department. Thanks for your help!!

I rent a slip every now and then from there. I won’t be leaving anything on my boat in the future overnight. Hope they get caught and you get all you stuff back.

By chance were they taken out of a yellowfin?

Yes Sir they were kept out of site. you would have to board the boat and pilferage to find them. Thank God it was only half of my rods

Dang, that sucks!
I’ll be on the look out for any deals on blue Avets!

Seems thievery is becoming more common-place these days.
That really sucks about your equipment. Hope you find who stole the reels and they get what they deserve.

That is true. I had three rods stolen out a a locked locker in Hilton Head three weeks ago. The only saving grace was, I had taken the better rods home that night to clean, these rods were broken and needed work and the thieves only took the rods and not my nets or tackle!

You know my insurance will probably cover the rods and reels it is the sinking feeling of a thief and lier I want to catch. I have no remourse or concern for a person who has no morals or ethics. this B munch will get his. Carma is a B***h!

your yellowfin is beautiful by the way. i would love to go fishing on it if you ever need an extra hand. I saw those rods in your rocket launchers on you t-top one time when was coming in from fishing. Those looked like really nice set ups, hopefully they will turn up.

good luck…I craigslist browse I will keep on the look out.

Nothing on the dock cameras?

I’ll be checking with them today once the manager gets in. from what I hear from the people that were staying at the marina that night. They said a flats boat came in around 12 with their lights off raising a lot of hell. Everyone passed it off as some drunks coming in.

hope you get them. but don’t expect police to help you. my yeti was stolen and now it is for sale on craigslist. i told mt pleasant police 3 weeks ago, made report and they have done nothing, but explain that i could be arrested if i take it into my own hands. a local charter boat also had @$20k in equipment stolen. they too know who did it but cannot get help from the police. i hope charleston is a little more helpful. i will keep my eyes open on craigslist and ebay.
good luck

I hate to hear that. Was your boat up on the lift? Seems it would almost have to be somebody that knew the boat to risk climbing in and rummaging around. Hope they got something on camera.

(I have the blue Pursuit on C dock behind your boat.)

It was worth a try I appreciate your efforts. Dirt bags will get there’s!

Zip-ties and blindfolds offshore will sure teach the thief’s around here to think twice about touching a mans stuff again. If I ever catch someone they will be mystery meat in the deep blu. Mark my words for all the thief’s reading these posts laughing you will get caught maybe not this time but the next, or the next.

No Offense but Charleston’s finest are not the greatest at doing THEIR JOBS. If they cant handle it then who do you call dealing with a traffic ticket now for two months and they tell me that they THINK the law has changed!! How do you not know your job??? So you cant call them then who do you call??? So aggravating and if you take it into your own hands then you get charged!!! Makes no sense to let scumbags steal what we work so hard for, I HATE THIEVES!!!

Need floors?? Just ask!!!

Haha this totally made me think of that TV show called Dexter where the main character chops up bad people and drops them offshore with his center console.

Lot of good cameras do when they are pointing down. Got some great shots of the dock as they took the reels.

Knock Down, thieves are creatures of habit. Might be worth packing a cooler with some beers and hanging out at the marina in a spot that gives you a good view. If you see anything that looks out of the ordinary have the cops on speed dial and be ready to grab boat numbers or a license plate, or perhaps even a citizen arrest if you feel you can do it safely. I know a lot of folks that have added game cameras to their rigs, pretty cheap investment to perhaps pin someone to the wall.
