Report for 12/9-11

Wednesday: Started about mid-tide on the outgoing. After an hour or so of searching I found a point that had a trout bite, caught five or six and they quit when the current stopped around low tide. I managed one 18”spot-tail during low tide. I was on a good school but could not get them to bite. The trout bite started back with the current of the in-coming tide. I caught one on almost every cast using sea shad color paddle tail grub. About 80% were 15 to 16 inches and the biggest was 18. I left the trout biting after catching about twenty and went to try for spot-tail spot and caught two 27-28 inches.

Thursday: Same spot, same everything only managed around six trout and they were smaller, and four spot-tails 15-17 inches.

Friday: Same everything again, Caught no trout and four spot-tails, one 28”, 3 at 16-17”

Beautiful weather all three days, Fished live shrimp under a cork and grubs on 1/8 oz jig. Shrimp were easy to catch in around six feet of water. Fished main channel of the North Edisto. Water clarity is getting better but not where it should be.

sounds like a god week, any size to the shrimp!

Shrimp were medium with smalls mixed in, just right for bait. I had to cast were the mud from the grass line starts to drop off in the channel. I would average a dozen or so per cast once I got the depth right.
