The weekend was really nice and we were able to get out twice with pretty good success. On Sat, we ventured up the Edisto with friends to find some catfish. The tides were really running in the early am so we found some quieter spots up the creeks and caught a few nice ones – all on mullet. When the water was more favorable, we went to bigger water and ended up with about ten with two at just about twenty pounds.
Decided to change up on Sunday and went to some of my favorite redfish holes on the north Edisto. Once the water started moving, the bite picked up. Unfortunately, we lost more than we caught but were able to bring three to the boat, one over the slot. Tried artificials but all were caught on the same cut mullet we used for catfish.
