Reports for 8\22 and 8\23

My son was down for a couple of days from Winston Salem and we wanted to spend some qualilty time on the water. On Wednesday, left our dock at 6:30 to fish the Edisto 40. Had clark spoons in the water by 8:00. Not much activity from birds or not much bait around the reef but did have a couple of bite offs and managed to boat 3 nice spanish mack’s in the 18" to 22" range. On the way back we picked up a 24", 4 lb. spanish on a gottcha plug. That alone made the trip worth while.

On Thursday, we fished in Whale Branch. Using live shrimp under popping corks, we caught a 14" flounder, 23" red, two 15’ reds, and a bunch of smaller reds.

WE ate the spanish last night and the rest are in the freezer for future meals. This was a QUALILTY TIME!
