Went out to Clarks Hill last from 8-12. Fished live herring at the Little River Bridge. All we got was a 6lb channel cat, one striper about 16in, and a big-a$$ gar. Oh well, still better then staying home.
it’s been hard for us to get out lately. i’ll be going next weekend a couple times. wife’s going out of town. i’m trying to talk steely into a multi-trip weekend.
i’ll post a report then.
the other boards i peruse have been dead with reports. maybe it’s too hot and people are spending time in the A/c?
did not get to go this weekend b/c of side job came up with good money. but am going to try at least twice during the day this week, only chance i got this week or probably the next two weeks. but will surly tell what i catch and probably some pix of some small fish…lol…is the 18in limit for two fish going on during august or just july. two weeks of back to nights on the dock then back in the truck after that…can’t wait…

18" is july and august, but only 2 fish of the daily limit can be short. personally, i don’t think the short fish make good eats, i prefer fish around 23-25" they make the best filets. IMO. then again, if they float off, i’ll usually net em and ice em.

I moved into the waterway up on 6. Phishinphan gets a little jeleous when I fish with other people. He helped me move my saltwater aquarium last night and saw a nice Pioneer. He thought I was going to leave him for a nicer boat, lol.
Seriously, we could do that some time. I still need to get settled in and get the rest of my stuff out of my old place. Maybe next week sometime.
lol… steely has my permission to fish with whomever he chooses. i’ll try to keep my jealousy in check. 
he’ll need to find a new ride when my baby boy is born anyway since momma will likely have me on lock down for a while.
Coolone of you guys welcome at any time. I’ve got plenty of boat for room, several Penn 330 GTI’s and several other trained rods (or at least used to be!) Would like somebody to fish at night with other than the warden who is painfully aware what time it is and all the dogss and cats are promptly fed…I live like 2 minutes from lake world so we oughta be close for sure. Get settled in and let me know-phish, how long for the little one gets here-might can “squeaze” one in this week ya know!

church. not in a neigborhood thank goodness. i just could not do the homeowner assoc thing. my seapro sits in my side/front yard. (makes my wife proud). i would love to go at night. probably could not stay all night as i have to work the next day but until 12-1am works for me. shoot me an email with prior warning and maybe we can make it happen.
as for steelytom; who gave you permission to yankee up our lexington water? WELCOME to the good side of the dam young man. we are glad to have you.
baby is due october 3. so i’ve got a few trips still allowed. steely and i were hoping to get down to clarks hill next month. i want to pop my 20#er + cherry.
i’ll be working on the boat friday night, hope to get out saturday night. should we try and get a floatilla? i’m thinking lines wet by 7, assuming i can get over fish. if nothing else, i’ll have plenty of ice on my beer.
we usually pull in around 12:30-1am coolbreeze so that schedule works for us. fish usually shut down about an hour after sunset anyway.
Saturday night then? If ya’ll wanna go, I’m in…Beer will bite good, hard to say about da fishs’

i will try and find an unsuspecting victim to join in. i assure you that i can fish as good as anybody else. it is the catching that sometimes kicks my hiney.

thanks on the name thing. it was given to me overseas int he airforce 37 years ago and stuck. i also have it registered with the the n.a. clowns assoc. as my clown name. i was a clown with the shriners for years. need to get back involved; unfortunately now i am just one of those card carriers.
the dam sounds good to me. can use the extra $5 for more bait.
