What’s the email address to report tagged redfish? Thanks in advanced. Never turned one in before.
Hope this helps, if not Wildlifesc will know. Does not look like it is online tho.

You can report the fish on SCDNR’s website. They will want to know the length of the fish, and the approximate location you caught it. They may even send you a T-Shirt. We caught a tagged fish today also. If you were fishing in the Broad, then we were right down the bank from you. I believe the guy on the front of your boat was standing on a YETI.
Haha yep. Chuck and I saw you guys.
John Archambault at the DNR Marine Resources Center in Charleston is the chief contact with the Marine Game Fish Tagging Program. Send email tag reports to him at:
I use this format:
Red Drum Tag Recovery Report:</font id=“size3”>
Date: Saturday, December 14, 2012.
Location: LAT/LON N xx xx.xxx W xx.xxx
(use approximate location if you do not know the GPS position, i.e. Broad River, x.x miles above Hwy 170 Bridge, east bank)
Tag No.: DJ xxxxx
Approximate Length: xx.x inches
Condition: Released, robust & healthy (or harvested…caught & kept)
Include your complete name and address and request either a cap, a t-shirt or no reward. If you kept the fish, you can mail the tag back to the address on the link in DoubleN’s reply or keep as a souvenir.
Wildlifesc knows cause he holds the record for the most tagged fish in a day…was it 6 or 8? Best Ive ever done is 4 in a day (actually in about 15 minutes). Back when DNR was tagging a lot I had 16 in a year and Jim had like 24 (or so he says).
Whats cool is the report DNR will send you on the fish you caught, tag date, size, location, and any prior catches/reports. In case you didnt know, those fish dont leave the area they were tagged in until they get big enough to head out to sea.
Thank you wildlife. And jig head, thanks for the info on what they will do. That’s cool they tell you when the fish is caught again. I’ve caught them before but just let em go and never thought about it. But then I caught 4 the other day so I thought that would be when I start reporting them.
