Hello all,
Times change, people come and go and I’m at a point where I need to add some new people to my shark team “Requiem Fishing.” If you search past threads you can see some of our reports - we haven’t posted much on here in a while but it’s still around.
So anyways who are we and who are we looking for? We are 20-30 something mostly “Yankees.” We have no set standards for new members other than being able to and loving to fish.
Some things to warn you about:
This sport is expensive. Very expensive. You can do it cheaply but if you spend time with us you will spend way more than you thought. thankfully for you we know what you need or might want gear wise and will save you from a lot of the trial and error but if you have minimal disposable income we may not be the group for you. We have taken a while to acquire it so there is no expectations off the bat, but I don’t want any wives or husbands yelling at me that you are always taking road trips or have spent thousands on your credit card for your hobby.
Being a current or past gamer is a plus. I used to be addicted hardcore, so I still expect my teammates to not be “casuals.” You should be a competitive person or at least not willing to fail week after week. We are not anything more than weekend warriors at this point, once to twice a week max if that from some of us, but they are long days. 10-16hours is a good session.
Being an open minded person is the final thing. If you have a lot of prejudices and can’t keep it to yourself very very well then this is definitely not the team for you. We like to drink a few beers, catch some fish and hopefully see some big sharks. We do road trips a few times a year and hopefully end up grabbing beers occasionally when we can’t fish because there isn’t enough time. I am looking for team orientated people who love sharks - and will respect them the way we do.
