Hello all,
This report comes to you from a brief trip Requiem Fishing made down to FL for my birthday. For my birthday all I really wanted was to catch a bull shark, so we made the trip to Ft Pierce which offers beach, jetty and bridge fishing, all of which hold sharks as well. So we left Charleston after work on Thursday with a plan to fish through the night until we could check into our hotel around 3pm the next day.

Like Blacktip Challenge we have learned that fishing in very specific dates will ensure that the weather will be the opposite of what you ever want especially for only a short trip. Thunderstorms and high surf seem to a trend when Requiem plans to fish.
We arrived at the cat walk around 130am, and quickly got on some bait. Unfortunately we didn’t save much of it as we weren’t quite prepared to save it and I didn’t want to start the trip by stinking up my new car. Mistake #1 of the trip.

Jacob seals the deal on ending the night early (only 6am) by catching this nice trout. It may not be big by FL standards, but for South Carolina it was a prize. While trying to unhook the bastard, he shakes and hooks Richard with the gotcha plug sending one of the trebles into his finger deep enough that he wasn’t willing to just rip it out. (Mistake #2) This ended the first night, so we could take care of the hook issue and get some sleep. The rain didn’t plan on stopping until the afternoon anyways.
After leaving the urgent care we decide to try and check in early and sleep before headi
