Fished the concrete pier from 8:30 to 2:30 yesterday. I used mud minnows on the bottom and fiddler crabs next to the pilings. 15 minutes into the day caught a nice 22 inch red on a mudminnow. Got picked a lot on the fiddler crabs but had no hook ups. I didn’t know we could go back to J-hooks until I was leaving. I was using circle hooks the whole time. That’s my excuse any ways. No other fish caught, but a great day to be out.

Correct me if I’m wrong, believe it’s by the old navy base…I think it’s the same place I’m thinking about, never had any luck there, saw some big splashes though. Nice park for a cookout and to throw the ball around.
That’s the one. I never had much luck there either until that fish. I just wanted an easy place to fish not too far from home.

If it had more spots that would have made it taste better? You have to throw them back if they fewer that 3 spots, right? Gills, you might want to edit that post so it can’t be used as evidence against you!
