Found two new Okuma reels on clearance that I’m going to try out. Both are the Raw II models, one 65 model and one 80 model. How do I go about pairing these up with rods? I’m not sure how to match reels with rods. Here are the specs, diameter in ():

St Croix Mojo surf - one 9’ for the 65 and the 11’ for the 80, could do the same with TFO surf rods, 9’ and 10’6 both nice and light- TFO has a life time no questions asked warranty, st croix is 5 years

Thanks Stan. The TFOs might be a good option price wise for me. Like the idea of lifetime warranty.

I own the Raw 2 65. Tackle Direct has them on clearance right now for $100. Good reel for the money. Prior to using them, loosen your drag and pull about 15ft of line off of them while adjusting your drag. If you don’t, it wants to “stick”. I’ve only used mine for bottom dropping and jigging, but the drag has been legit so far.
