After going 0 for at the F&B tournament, Team One Love made the run to the Betsy Ross with 150 other boats on Sunday morning. Found bait about a mile off the Marriott and proceeded to the Ross. After stuffing the bow into a wave and taking green water OVER the T top we arrived and anchored up.
It only took about 30 minutes before 6 or 8 fish showed up at the chum bag. We hand fed the cobia and nearly limited out in 10 minutes but lost the last fish when it got tail wrapped. Final tally - 4 for 5 with one short. Saw a monster fish caught about 200 yards away - I would love to know how much that one weighed.
The bite seemed to be on with Classic Rock on Sirius/XM. Usually listen to Gospel when fishing on Sunday morning but glad we made the switch yesterday.

Yes, but it was 100% operator error. I was initially skeptical of that boat’s ability offshore but have no qualms about taking it out in reasonable seas. The upside of the layout as an inshore fishing machine makes it perfect for this area. We are hauling it down to Islamorada for the Yellowfin owner’s tournament in a couple of weeks and I plan to run it out to the Humps for some tuna (seas permitting).
