I have always said that I would never buy a Yeti cooler because of the cost of them. It’s ridiculous.
But I’ve read a lot of good reviews on the RTIC coolers, especially when compared to Yeti, and the price is at a point where I would consider it.
May just have to pull the trigger on one.

The combination of the price, no taxes, and free shipping makes these a pretty good deal.
Not to disagree with tigerpaw80, but the RTIC 65 is available in white as well as tan. Blue is the only color not on sale.

my son gave all of us an RTIC 32oz cup for chritmas. they are great and keep ice for right at two days. also 1/3 the price of a yeti the same size. i really like RTIC products.
RTIC has had problems with order fulfillment in the past, but Amazon has them on sale …
That said, there are tons of other cooler companies out there …
Palm, Icey Tek, Bison, and Canyon to name a few …
ALL of them hold ice the same as long as you prep the cooler in advance and limit your usage of the cooler …
My issue has always been one of space … I want a cooler that will allow a 30" Striper to lay flat and a 65qt cooler won’t do that … So now you’re looking at a 90 - 100 qt cooler and the foot print (and weight) on those is huge …
I get it, we all want to save ice and keep things cold, but I’d just as soon put the $500 towards an ice machine and keep using my $75 92qt Igloo Marine cooler … 
… it’s my Wife’s fault we HAVE to fish !!!

I ordered the 65 in white. It was on my front porch 3 days later.
I have had just about every major cooler made since I have a small cooler accessory business and the RTICs are the best deal for the money. The soft sides are nice too.

So, I just went to their site this am to see if they have any white 65 qt coolers again. Turns out they have all 3 colors now, but theyre back up to $199.
I haven’t been following it closely, but I thought they had to stop selLing the Yeti knock offs and redesign them? Still look the same to me.

I’m not much on interpreting legal speak but from what I could tell, RTIC owed Yeti substantial financial compensation for patent infringement and were given a court order to halt production on any product that was found to be included in the patent infringement claim. They have until 5/1 to sell any of the “knock off” product and were ordered to re-design their product offering so as to NOT infringe on Yeti’s patents.

The way that I heard it was that the owner(s)/creator(s) of Yeti and the owner(s)/creator(s) of RTIC were partners and started the Yeti brand. They went their separate ways and one of them started RTIC using the same molds, the same Chinese plant. That’s why they look alike. But, as I said, that’s what I HEARD.
I’m just hoping bangstick is right about that 5/1 date and they get stuck with excess inventory so I can pick one up on 4/30 for $19.99. 
Seriously though, I am going to keep an eye on them. I would imagine we’re coming up on peak time for cooler sales though, so depending on how many they have, they may not have to come down much to sell what they have.

They have raised prices on what is left. I bought a soft side 20 for $69 the other day. It is $99 now. They must see how fast they are going and anticipate making the deadline to get rid of all inventory.

Has anyone else noticed? The cooler wars are underway. Received numerous emails from Dicks, Academy, Walmart, etc. Everybody is offering a discount up to $100 off, including Yeti’s.
It’s a product of the fact that they last so long. People don’t need to replace them so not as many buyers as their were the first few years. Plus there is now competition. Looking forward to using my Sams Club Yeti killer soft side cooler that I picked up for $100. Thing is made in the same factory as yeti for 1/3 the price. Just like the Ozark Trail mugs.
