RTIC Products

Anyone have any experience with this manufacturer? I like Yeti products but they are too proud of their Hoppers. This company looks to produce something similar, but can’t find any reviews.

Got my RTIC 65 a few weeks ago. Holds ice just the same. A couple of little things seem better than the Yeti in the large coolers. For instance, there’s a relief cut in the lid for your fingers to go when trying to open it.

Yeti’s are expensive because of their giant marketing and advertising costs. The others are good to go.

But for a small cooler, the $125 K2 20 is my favorite cooler of them all. The strap is much nicer than the handle. The handle does not allow you to carry the cooler on your shoulder very easily, if at all.

I did have a strap break on my K2. A phone call and 3 days later I had a new strap, and 4 new buckles for it…try that with Yeti.

Icey-Tek was the first cooler of that type and when they quit in 2008 Yeti branched off and started their own. Icey-Teks are a little bit less exspensive and a whole lighter and come in all kinds of colors a a fews different dimensions and anywhere from 25qt to 1100qt

i got the 30oz RTIC cup, and its great. Actually got 2, for the price of 1 yeti.
I put ice water in it in the morning when I wake up and when I go to bed I dump some ice out.
Same product, just half the price. You have to have delayed gratification though. Takes 4-5 weeks to ship.

Thanks for the responses. I was interested in their cooler bag but their site says they won’t ship until May. Wanted to make sure it was worth it.

Check out Norchill coolers. They have a Marine Soft coolers and, a “trade-up” program. Trade in one of your coolers and get %50 off one of theirs. I have one and am getting another. They hold up well and don’t cost an arm and a leg. Of course you do not get a Yeti sticker with one.

Try Polar bear Coolers, great bag coolers hold Ice for 3 days in the summer, good customer service if it leaks they’ll make it right, also somewhat local as they are from GA

Norchill is having a Father’s Day BOGO sale on medium 24-can red coolers. Buy one and get the second free.

Thanks for the info on the norchill coolers. I just received my RTIC Softpak 40 today. Looks to be really well made. I’ll provide some insight on how it performs after some use.

I received my Rtic 45 cooler yesterday and it rocks like a bad restaurant table. The rubber feet on the bottom all seem to be seated properly so they aren’t the problem. I have requested a return shipping label and have decided to take a chance with a replacement cooler. If that one is defective, I’ll be looking for another brand.

The 30 oz cups that I have are working well for me.

The cooler performed as advertised. Held ice from Thurs PM to Sun PM despite being opened frequently. I’m satisfied with the purchase but disappointed at how long delivery took once ordered. If I did it again I’d probably downsize to a 30qt from the 40qt.
