sabiki / bait rigs from pier?

Anyone tried for bait fish using a Sabiki type bait rig from docks or pier? Any luck? I’m thinking FB pier or park, MP and Pitt st. Anyone tried?

we use sabiki rigs ob fb pier to catch greenbacks.

i used one with tiny pieces of squid off folly a couple times and mostly caught surf perch, but the most interesting catch was a baby hammerhead (12" or so)

i have tried sabikis at folly (plain gold hook with the white plastic thing above it) bare hooked like everyone does for herring and didnt get a whole lot, but at least for me they seemed to get more attention with a piece of squid tentacle on them if you can get ahold of some. if theres room to do so i also had a bit of luck tossin a cast net off the pier as well.
