Hello All, I am new to the forum, and was wanting to find out how sabiki rigs are fished in the surf, size hooks and weight used and how to rig them. I generally surf fish quite a few times a year along the SC coast, the gear I use is generally 10 an 12 foot rods and okuma reels, feel free to make recommendations on equipment needed to fish also.
Thanks again for any info on this

I use size 4 and 6 sabiki rigs. I use whatever size weight that day to keep it on bottom. I put on pink fish bites shrimp cut into small strips the size of a tic tac.
For everything else in including the redfish run coming. I would recommend double drop rigs with size 4 or 5/0 circle hook and whatever weight to keep bottom on that day. For bait anything freshly caught or frozen mullet chunked the size of a quarter or half dollar.
These are my go to fishing methods that have given me alot of success but I have only been fishing here 2 years now.
Thank you Stevo, I will be trying this in the next couple weeks when I’m at pawleys.
thanks again
